Adjunct Instructor - Piano
Hey there!
I'm Andrea! I am a college graduate from the University of Floriday (Go Gators!). I received a double bachelor's degree in Microbiology and Environmental Management.
Although science has been my primary educational background, music has always been an important part of my life. I have been playing piano for over 10 years. I am a former student of Sarah Robertson, having taken lessons from her for 6 years. By age 12, I had already completed the Faber method series and began standard literature. I studied additional theory through the TheoryTime course. By age 14, I was playing on an early advanced, collegiate level.
I have continued to enjoy piano and music in many ways. I was very involved in youth praise band in high school, which helped to broaden my musical interests. I've enjoyed learning to play several instruments including guitar, ukulele, bass, and even a little drums! I currently serve as the pianist for my church at First Baptist Indialantic.
In addition to teaching piano, I am also a teacher assistant at First Baptist Indialantic's weekday preschool. This role has allowed me to continue to pursue my passion for teaching.
I have been an adjunct piano instructor at Robertson House of Music, LLC since 2017. Sarah Robertson has continued to mentor me as I have entered the exciting world of teaching piano. It has been an amazing journey so far! It has been my privilege and joy to watch my students grow in both their skill and love for piano.
I'm so thankful to be a part of Robertson House of Music and to have the opportunity to spread the joy of piano to others!
